Welcome!
Thank you for visiting the website of the Redcar constituency Liberal Democrat party.
| Local Liberal Democrats celebrate the granting of planning permission for Coatham Links with Fiona Hall MEP. |
In Redcar the Liberal Democrats are the main opposition party to Labour. We have 13 hard-working councillors, and held all of our seats in the constituency at the recent local elections in May 2007, whilst coming close to winning several more. Our councillors work all year round for local residents, and at the Town Hall they are always fighting for a cleaner, greener and better managed Council.
At the last General Election our candidate Ian Swales took a strong second place, pushing the Tories into third. Ian has been selected by the local party to fight the next election, and will be ready for the contest whenever it is declared.
Ian and the councillors work very closely with Redcar's Euro-MP, Fiona Hall. Fiona is often seen in our area and makes sure the North-East does not get forgotten about by the European Parliament.
More and more people are joining the Liberal Democrats in Redcar. Why not join us?
